New Vision Laser Centers offers the latest technology for blade less LASIK (also known as bladeless lasik, blade free LASIK , No Blade LASIK or Femto LASIK) laser vision correction at 5 centers across India- Mumbai (Bombay), Vadodara (Vadodara) , Hyderabad, Surat and Ahmedabad. We offer the latest technology, including the VisuMax laser from Carl Zeiss Meditec, Intralase iFS laser from Abbott Medical Optics, and Femto LDV from Zeimer Ophthalmics. Note:Bladeless Laser and Epi-LASIK is not the same as Blade less LASIK

Blade less LASIK technology offers several advantages over conventional lasik. In Blade less LASIK technology, instead of using a microkeratome to cut the LASIK flap, a femtosecond laser is used to separate corneal layers to create a flap without cutting the cornea. The femtosecond laser has several advantages over the microkeratome to cut the flap. These advantages enhance the safety, predictability and accuracy of the lasik procedure. These advantages include:
Safety:
- Precise control over flap dimension and thickness
- No chance of flap complications like free cap and buttonhole
- Less chances of flap displacement because the architecture of the flap edge can be controlled accurately
- If there is a suction loss, then the procedure can be repeated immediately
- Predictability
- Studies show that the likelihood of getting 20/20 vision increases when a femtosecond laser is used.
- Accuracy
- Less aberrations are induced when compared to a microkeratome
Our clinical director, Dr. Rupal Shah is one of the pioneers in femtosecond laser and blade less LASIK technology, and she has done some pathbreaking work in relationship to the ReLEx all femtosecond laser procedure. For more details, please visit Bladeless LASIK.
We perform Bladeless LASIK with the VisuMax and iFS lasers. Since the intralase was the first laser to be used for Bladeless LASIK, it is also known sometimes as iLASIK or intraLasik or Intralase LASIK. Pls. click on the link to see how the lasers we use are superior to the intralase.
Of course, Blade free LASIK or Blade less LASIK is more expensive then conventional lasik with a blade. This is because one needs two lasers to complete the procedure. Also, special license fees need to be paid to the laser company. However, if you can afford it, you should consider it. You can also consider ReLEx smile, which is offered in Vadodara (Baroda), Mumbai (Bombay), and Hyderabad. This is the safest laser vision correction procedure available.
